2019年10月26日至10月29日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”、“IKCEST”）、西安交通大学、华侨大学主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第62期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学举行，来自华侨大学东南亚政府官员代表团的40余名官员代表参加本次培训。

The 62nd IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development was held in Xi’an Jiaotong University from Oct. 26th to Oct. 29th, 2019. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “International Knowledge Centre”, “IKCEST”) under the Auspices of UNESCO, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Huaqiao Universities, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. Over 40 government officials from Southeast Asian countries studying in Huaqiao University participated in this training programme.

10月26日上午，培训班在西安交通大学钱学森图书馆星空报告厅举行开班仪式，西安交通大学继续教育学院党委书记张爱萍、华侨大学华文学院党委副书记袁媛及全体学员出席。西安交通大学继续教育学院项目主管杜海鹏主持开班仪式。

The opening ceremony of the training programme was held in Xingkong lecture hall of Xi’an Jiaotong University Library on the morning of October 26^th. Du Haipeng, Project Manager of the School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University, chaired the opening ceremony. Zhang Aiping, CPC Secretary of the School of Continuing Education of Xi’an Jiaotong University Committee, Yuanyuan, CPC Deputy Secretary of the Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University, and all the trainees attended the opening ceremony.

张爱萍代表西安交通大学对袁媛及华侨大学东南亚政府官员代表们的到来表示热烈欢迎。张书记表示，西安是丝绸之路的起点，西安交通大学作为中国最早创立的学校之一，同样是中国西部的一张名片。在过去的两年中，丝路培训基地曾带领西安交通大学优秀教师团队赴华侨大学举办两期培训并深受学员好评。本次西安交通大学邀请华侨大学学员到西安接受培训，目的是让各个国家学员接受西安古城原汁原味的教育，了解中国科技新趋势与经济发展新态势，发挥大学的社会功能，加强中国与东南亚各国青年人在科技、教育、文化、经济等多方面的交流。张书记还表示，希望各国学员通过本次培训能够学有所获，继续传承和弘扬丝路精神，为东南亚各国的发展做出贡献。

On behalf of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Secretary Zhang Aiping extended a warm welcome to Yuanyuan and the government officials from Southeast Asia countries studying in Huaqiao University. He said that located in Xi’an city, which is the starting point of ancient Silk Road, Xi’an Jiaotong University is one of the oldest universities in China and also a city card of Western China. In the past two years, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base has successfully held two training programs in Huaqiao University by sending some of the best teachers over, which have enjoyed great popularity among the foreign students. By holding this training program, Xi’an Jiaotong University aims to offer attendees from various countries an experience to feel the education with Xi’an characteristics. This training program also aims to let the attendees learn about the new trends of science and technology and economic development in China, therefore giving full play to the social function of universities, and strengthening the exchanges between young people in China and Southeast Asian countries in science and technology, education, culture, economy and other fields. Zhang Aiping also hoped that attendees  learn and earn from this training, continue to inherit and develop the spirit of Silk Road, and contribute their talents to the development of China and Southeast Asian countries.

袁媛在开班仪式讲话中首先对张爱萍和组织本期培训班的工作人员表示感谢。她表示，西安交通大学是中国屈指可数的名校，华侨大学学员们非常有幸能够在西安交通大学接受培训。西安具有悠久的历史，西安的科技、文化、经济、交通实力都走在中国的前列，希望学员们在四天的学习和考察中能够珍惜机会，真正的把课程学到心里，学到脑海中，最后能够带回到各个国家中去。

In here speeach, Yuan Yuan expressed her gratitude to Secretary Zhang and the staff who organized this training programme. She commented that it was quite an honor for all the trainees from Huaqiao University to take this training in Xi’an Jiaotong University, which is one of the few prestigious universities in China. She said that the city of Xi’an not only enjoys a long history, but also owns strong comprehensive strength that takes the lead in science and technology, culture, economy and transportation in China. She hoped that students cherish the learning and visiting opportunity in the following four days, learn all the courses with full attention, master and apply what they learn here to their life and work so that they can better serve their own countries.

此次培训涵盖文化与科技两个方面，由西安交通大学资深教授韩鹏杰教授和李雪飞老师团队亲临授课，通过学习“道德经”、“中国传统文化赏析及中华剪纸体验”，参观西安交通大学西迁纪念馆、秦始皇陵博物院深入了解并体验中国传统文化。此外，为进一步增强学员对中国企业管理与运营的了解，为丝路沿线国家培养本土化人才，促进中国与丝路沿线国家在人才、技术、产品和资源等方面的国际交流，本次培训理论与实践相结合，安排学员赴快速国家制造国家工程研究中心、国家民用航天产业基地、西安科技大市场等中国著名产业基地进行实地学习。通过企业专家的讲解，学员们对中国当前科技发展水平、跨境电商发展现状有了很深的了解，也为自己国家和企业的发展积累了许多宝贵经验。

This training programme covers topics of culture and science and technology with  lectures given by Professor Han Pengjie, a senior professor from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Li Xuefei’s team. Students learn about Tao Te Ching and Appreciation of Chinese Traditional Culture and Experience of Paper-cutting, and visited the Westward Migration Historical Memorial Hall of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Park to learn about and experience traditional Chinese culture. In addition, in order to further enhance students’ understanding of the management and operation of Chinese enterprises, cultivate localized talents for countries along the Silk Road, and promote international exchanges between China and Silk-road countries in talents, technologies, products and resources, this training combined theory together with practice, and arranged on-the-spot learning in Chinese famous industrial bases, including Xi’an National Civil Aerospace Industry Base, Xi’an Technology Resources Market, etc. Through enterprise experts’ explanation, the students got a deep understanding of China’s current level of technological development and the status quo of cross-border e-commerce development, and accumulated valuable experiences for the development of their own countries and enterprises.

目前，IKCEST丝路培训基地已举办62期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”，共培养了来自100余个国家的6000余名留学生、以及在华外向型企业人员。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为推动文化、科技、教育交流，为东南亚地区经济社会发展做出重要贡献。

Up till recently, 62 Sessions of IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development have been held by Silk Road Training Base, training more than 6,000 foreign students from over 100 countries and staff from some export-oriented Chinese companies. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. In the Meanwhile, it also made important contributions to the economic and social development of Southeast Asian countries and regions.

IKCEST是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

 IKCEST is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO and was established in June 2014 in Beijing. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims to provide knowledge-based services at global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi’an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
