2019年11月4日至10日, 由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”、“IKCEST”）和西安交通大学主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第63期丝路工程科技发展专项培训在西安交通大学西部科技创新港举行，共有来自巴基斯坦、孟加拉国、卢旺达等9个“一带一路”沿线国家的167名留学生参加了培训。

The 63rd IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development was held in the I-Harbor of Xi’an Jiaotong University from Nov. 4th to 10th, 2019. It was co-hosted by the International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) under the Auspices of UNESCO and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and was organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. 167 foreign students from 21 Belt-road countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Rwanda, etc. in Xi’an Jiaotong University registered for the workshop.

本次培训为期7天，由西安交大资深教授团队亲临授课，内容涵盖：中国“一带一路”投资保护的挑战与因应、人工智能简介、机器人简介、脑机接口导论、数字图像处理概述、丝绸之路研究的诞生和发展、外国著作权在中国的保护、智能无人车的自主驾驶等。

This programme lasted for seven days. Teachers from Xi’an Jiaotong University gave lectures on the topics of The Challenges and Strategies of China's Investment Protection in “The Belt and Road” Area, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Brief Introduction to Robotics, Introduction to Brain Machine Interface, Introduction of Digital Image Processing, The Origin and Development of Silk Road Studies, How Foreigners’ Copyright are Protected in China, and Autonomous Driving for Unmanned Ground Vehicle.

目前，IKCEST丝路培训基地已举办63期“丝路工程科技发展专项培训”，共培养了来自100余个国家的5000余名留学生、以及在华外向型企业人员。此次培训，作为丝路培训基地一项重要工作，将在培养丝路人才，服务国家“一带一路”倡议方面发挥重要的作用，同时，也为推动文化、科技、教育交流，为丝路沿线和欧亚非地区经济社会发展做出重要贡献。

Up till recently, 63 sessions of IKCEST Training Programmes for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development have been held by Silk Road Training Base, training more than 5,000 foreign students and staff from export-oriented Chinese Companies from over 100 countries. As an important mission of the IKCEST Silk Road Training Base, this training programme plays an important role in cultivating talents and promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. In the Meanwhile, it also made important contributions to the economic and social development of European, Asian and African Belt-road countries and regions.

IKCEST是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

IKCEST is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO and was established in June 2014 in Beijing. Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims to provide knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi’an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering science and technology talents for Belt-Road countries.
