2019年3月30日-31日，由联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（IKCEST）、西安交通大学和华侨大学联合主办，IKCEST丝路培训基地承办的第49期丝路工程科技中心培训班暨华侨大学第二期“丝路纵横”国际学生专题培训在华侨大学举行。70余名来自泰国、越南、缅甸、安哥拉等“一带一路”沿线国家的留学生参加了培训。

The 49th IKCEST Training Programme for Silk Road Engineering Science and Technology Development & Huaqiao University’s 2^nd Special Training Programme on “Silk Road Strategies” was held in Huaqiao University from Mar. 30^th to Mar. 31^st, 2019.  It was co-hosted by International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (IKCEST), Xi’an Jiaotong University and Huaqiao University, and organized by IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. About 70 foreign students participated in the programme. They were from Belt-road countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar Angola, etc.

3月30日上午，西安交大继续教育学院院长邸德海、中国工程院办公厅知识中心办公室副主任、IKCEST国际合作事务负责人刘畅，华侨大学学生处处长陈捷、副处长蔡立强等相关负责人出席开班仪式。

On the morning of Mar. 30th, Di Dehai, dean of Continuing Education College of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Liu Chang, Director of Division of International Cooperation of the IKCEST, Chen Jie, director of Students Affairs Office of Huaqiao University, and Cai Liqiang, Vice Director of Students Affairs Office of Huaqiao University attended the opening ceremony.

陈捷代表华侨大学对国际知识中心代表和西安交通大学培训团队的到来表示热烈欢迎。他向参加培训的学生提出几点希望，希望留学生们把握机会，认真学习，尊重知识，放眼未来，成为促进“一带一路”建设和国际友好往来的文化使者。

Chen Jie, on behalf of Huaqiao University, extended a warm welcome to the delegates of IKCEST and training team of Xi'an Jiaotong University. He put forward some suggestions to the trainees that to seize the opportunity, study hard, respect knowledge, and look into the future, so as to become a cultural messenger to promote the construction of "the Belt and Road".

刘畅介绍了国际知识中心的基本情况，分别就其成立背景、主营业务及国际影响力展开阐述。她指出，国际知识中心自成立以来，面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。其中一项重要工作是成立丝路培训基地，并举办多形式、多主题、多领域的线下培训。截止2018年底，已举办各类培训60期，培训来自100个国家的学员3100人次。通过组织国际科技培训，国际知识中心有效提高了发展中国家机构和学员的数据处理和应用水平，助力了发展中国家能力建设，促进了丝路沿线国家民心相通。

Liu Chang introduced IKCEST, and elaborated on its background, main tasks and international influence. She pointed out that IKCEST has been devoted to providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. One of the most important tasks is to build IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. By the end of 2018, IKCEST has organized 60 off-line training sessions in various forms, themes and fields for 3100 students from 100 countries. By organizing international scientific and technological training, the data processing and application capacity of institutions and trainees in developing countries was improved, the economy of the developing countries was enhanced, and the people-to-people bond along Belt-road countries was promoted. 

邸德海在讲话中回顾了IKCEST丝路培训基地的成立、发展及意义，并对华侨大学的合作和支持表示感谢。他希望留学生们能扩展视野，在学业有成之时更好地服务自己的国家，同时为促进丝绸之路沿线国家的友谊与合作贡献自己的力量。

Di Dehai, Dean of the schoole of Continuing Education of Xi'an Jiaotong University, briefly reviewed the establishment, development and significance of IKCEST Silk Road Training Base. He also expressed his gratitude to the cooperation and support of Huaqiao University. He hoped that the overseas students could broaden their horizons and serve their country better when they finish their studies in China, and would contribute their strength to promoting friendship and cooperation among the countries along the Belt-road countries.

华侨大学2016级建筑学院本科生、缅甸籍学生杨祖茸作为学生代表发言。她谈到“五个手指”的故事，并表示作为“一带一路”倡议的受益者，她希望学成回国后能带动更多人到中国来学习汉语，学习中国文化和精神，愿尽自己的绵薄之力做中缅友谊的和平使者。

Yang Zurong, a Grade 2016 undergraduate and Burmese student from the Architecture College of the Huaqiao University, spoke as a student representative. She talked about the story of "five fingers" and said that as the beneficiaries of the Belt and Road initiative, she hoped that when she return to China, she would be able to bring more people to China to learn Chinese and learn Chinese culture, spirit and contribute to China-Myanmar Friendship. 

本次培训课程为期两天，西安交大在“一带一路”倡议研究中资深的教授团队亲临授课，内容涵盖物联网与智慧生活、京剧——“角儿”的艺术、人工智能简介、太极文化与修养学、大数据简介、中国对外交流简史、外国著作权在中国的保护、推拿的基本操作方法及常见疾病的保健与治疗等内容。教师用清晰生动的案例，对内容进行了深入浅出的讲解，兼备师生互动，让参训学员大为受益。

The training programme lasted for 2 days, and the following lectures such as The Internet of Things and Smarter Life, Beijing Opera: Artistry of Performers, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Tai Chi Culture and Cultivation, Brief Introduction to Big Data and China’s Opening: A Historical Review, How Foreigners Are Protected in China’s Copyright Industry, The Basic Operation Method of Tuina and Application to Health Care and Treatment of Common Diseases were given by the experienced professors. The teachers gave clear, vivid examples to make the topic deep-going but easy to understand. The students benefited a lot from it and discussed with the teacher after the lectures.

此次培训是国际知识中心、西安交通大学、华侨大学推进“一带一路”倡议向纵深推进的再次合作，旨在共同培养“一带一路”人才，推动文化、科技、教育交流，为丝路沿线和欧亚非地区经济社会发展做出更大贡献。

This training is a renewed cooperation between Huaqiao University and IKCEST Silk Road Training Base to contribute to the Belt and Road initiative. It aims at jointly cultivating the Belt and Road countries’ personnel to promote the culture, science and technology and education communication and to make contributions to the economic and social development of European, Asian and African Belt-road countries and regions..

联合国教科文组织国际工程科技知识中心（简称“国际知识中心”“IKCEST”）是联合国教科文组织下属二类中心，2014年6月在北京成立，依托中国工程院建设，旨在面向世界各国尤其是发展中国家的政策制定者、广大工程科技工作者提供咨询、科研、教育等知识服务。2017年2月，国际知识中心依托西安交通大学，设立“IKCEST丝路培训基地”，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养工程科技人才。

The International Knowledge Centre for Engineering Sciences and Technology (shortened as “IKCEST”) is a category II centre under the auspices of UNESCO. IKCEST was established on June 2, 2014. The Chinese Academy of Engineering is responsible for the operation and management of the IKCEST. IKCEST aims at providing knowledge-based services at a global scale in the form of consultancies, scientific research and education for policy-makers and engineering science and technology professionals in the world, with particular reference to the developing countries. In February 2017, based in Xi'an Jiaotong University, IKCEST Silk Road Training Base was established, which aims to train more engineering and technological talents for Belt-Road countries.
